Our Visits
Every child is different, and so is every visit. We offer a range of appointment types so your child gets the right amount of time and the right level of care for what they need. Here are some of the visits we see most often.
Well Child Checkups
Well-child visits are where we get to actually know your kid and where they get to know us. Because we're a small, independent practice, the doctor and staff who meet your child early on are the same ones signing their sports physical years later. We use these visits to track development, talk through what's going on at home and school, and answer the questions that don't fit into a sick visit.
Over time, these visits build a long-term picture of your child's health. One that helps us catch small things before they turn into big ones. They're also when we handle preventive care like vaccines, and when you get uninterrupted time to bring up whatever's been on your mind as a parent.
Sick / Acute Care Visits
When your child is sick, you don't want to wait. We keep a large portion of each day open for acute visits, and if you call early in the morning we can usually get you in that same day. Sick visits stay focused on the problem in front of us, and depending on what we find, we may want to see your child again in a few weeks to confirm they've turned the corner.
Consultative Visits
Some things don't get sorted out in a 20-minute appointment. When symptoms have been going on for more than a couple of weeks, or your child is managing an ongoing condition, we schedule consultative visits which are booked a little further out, with the time and space to work through it together.
Allergy & Asthma Visits
Asthma and allergies don't have to run your child's life. We've spent years helping kids manage respiratory conditions, and we'll work with you to build a plan that actually fits your family. Medication where it helps, changes at home where they make a difference, and a clear focus on keeping symptoms under control so your child can stay active and out of the ER.
ADHD Visits
ADHD shows up differently in every kid, and treatment looks different too. We work with families to figure out what's actually going on, build a plan that fits your child and your family, and stick with you through the follow-ups it takes to get things dialed in. That usually means some combination of medication, school coordination, and check-ins to see how things are landing.
Travel Visits
Travel can throw a wrench in a kid's routine, and depending on where you're going, there's prep that needs to happen first. Before your travel visit, send over the basics: where you're going, the kind of trip it is, and what you're planning to do. That way we can come in ready. We'll make sure routine vaccines are caught up and write any prescriptions you'll need for the trip. For uncommon vaccines we don't supply, we'll point you to where you can get them.
